Have you heard of this nesting thing? They say some women experience it in the weeks before their baby arrives and some don't. Who's they? I have no idea, but I think that this nesting feeling is REAL for me! I like to consider myself an organized person. I can tell you where anything is in my house 99% of the time, even when it's not where it is supposed to be. When packing for a camping trip, everything is prepped and packaged so its easily accessible and everything has a home.
In the past few weeks I've tidied up loose ends at the shop and have been checking off all kinds of things from the ongoing to do list at home. I've managed to get things done around the house that I've been wanting to do since we moved in two years ago. Theres something about the anticipation of the arrival of our baby that is giving me the energy to get things done. I feel like I've checked everything off my list and I don't know what else to do (so I've been binge watching Private Practice). I've made fresh bread THREE times this week, and none of it made it's way to the freezer... who can resist fresh bread, am I right? So here's how I've been spending my time recently, preparing for the arrival of our sweet little babe
So, is this what nesting is? Or am I just organizing everything to make my life easier in the next few weeks? Our baby is due in two weeks and who knows what else I'll find to do or clean. What did you do to prepare for the arrival of your baby? Anything you found to be particularly helpful once you returned home from the hospital? I'd love to hear about it! -M
