We wanted ribs. We missed Canada Day's giant rib fest in Halifax so we found one in Bridgewater this weekend. We left Eddie at home where it was cool and hit the road.
The ribs were delicious and the lines were short - good news for us, but not so sure about the ribbers. We voted for our pick for best ribs and sauce (congrats to Silver Bullet BBQ on both counts) and got back on the road again.
We had a great weekend celebrating this guy's second birthday! Yes...I know what you're thinking. We did indeed celebrate our dog's birthday. Our friends even played along and hosted a little party in his honour featuring this tasty puppy-cake, a birthday boy pin, and a birthday banner.
For years, while dreaming about working for myself, I thrived on any advice an entrepreneur would share. I'd go to work with my Dad and he would introduce me to his colleagues who would all ask "and what do you want to do when you grow up?". Most of the time, regardless of how I replied, they would say "oh thats great, work hard and you'll do well".
A new year is the opportunity for a new you! Ugh, does anyone else hate that saying as much as I do? Why do we have to wait until January to start a new routine or set new goals? Jake and I are believers of making a change when you are ready and always striving to be a better you. Although that is often easier said than done.
